Over the coming weeks I plan to investigate tutorials in games.
A game that is driven by a highly stylised art direction, but is it more than just visual?
I recently finally finished work on the stats tool for my clan, at least the front end. Its a rather neat little tool, allowing us to store, compare and display stats from both Left4Dead and Left4Dead 2 for everyone in the clan.
A game must be designed to be intuitive and user friendly otherwise it risks poor scores and low sales, however in electrical appliances and other everyday items, UI design isn’t really regarded as a priority. Well I think it should be.
If I was to describe any game in my collection as addictive, this would be it.
Obviously at times I can be a little biased with APB. It is a title that I love and hate with such passion (although much more on the love side).
A solid title with a sound plot and enjoyable third person shooter action, let down slightly by some over complexities in weapons.
