This article is a continuation of my APB article, looking in more depth at the failings of the mission system and how it could be improved.
The biggest game breaker in APB is Upgrades. They are to be frank, a dreadful system!
APB was a very complex game, understandably so given the many genres it looked to cross. However it made very little attempt to simplify this for the user.
Mario Kart but presented like PGR, Gran Turismo and so forth. An interesting idea.
Obviously at times I can be a little biased with APB. It is a title that I love and hate with such passion (although much more on the love side).
I grew up loving the GTA series, until now.
Crackdown is an enjoyable sandbox game with many original features, in particular the Orbs. However it is also flawed by many core aspects from the initial user experience to the frustration of spawning with a rocket aimed at your character.
I was very surprised by how much I was impressed by Audiosurf.
Exceptionally fun game with plenty additional features and modes. A real bargin.
A solid title with a sound plot and enjoyable third person shooter action, let down slightly by some over complexities in weapons.
